The guy sat down at his office desk and drew the bills from their envelopes- Electricity, credit card, telephone. He arrived at his monthly tally sheet and started to mark up each payment. If he gave them all he’d have $117 left and 3 other weeks to pay day. The new shoes he’d assured his wife would have to wait a little longer but at least he still held down a job.
The story is true for many people. I myself kept a sheet of paper on my desk at work and each morning get the checks in and attempt to play with the amounts. I wasn’t the only one and many people still have to. Making ends meet is getting harder and if the most horrible happens that you lose your work, well things get a lot worse.
