Ok we know that we submit our blogs to the search engines because they can indexed our blog. Let us assume that our blogs are already indexed by major search engine i.e., the homepage URL of the blog in indexed. Here comes the ping feature. Ping generally means notify. Pinging service notifies the various search engines, other sites that certain blog has just updated new posts so crawl and indexed it in the respective search engine.
So pingomatic is also one of the pinging services. Pingomatic is very helpful for the blogger blog. It has some lists of search engines and other sites where they notify the blog updating. You should use pingomatic whenever you update your blog with new posts. It is very important work for the bloggers.
